How long does it take to reach Legend in Hearthstone?
Number of Games to Reach Legend in Hearthstone
How hard is it really to reach the highest rank of Hearthstone? In this article, we will provide you with the hard facts behind the numbers – you don’t even need 50% Winrate!
At each rank, we take a look at different Winrate, from 45% Winrate to 71% Winrate and the time per game.
In Hearthstone, the highest Rank to reach is Legend. You might think it’s hard to reach Legend, that you need to play hundreds of games and have a 60%+ Winrate, but that’s wrong.
Looking at the raw numbers in this article, I will show you how long you need to reach Legend. We take a look at three factors in this article.
What Star Bonus do you have:
The higher your bonus is, the faster you will get to Legend. But this factor is just a quick bonus. You don’t need it.
How high your Winrate is:
You might think 53% Winrate is not that high and will require a long time for you to reach Legend, but the Number might be lower than you think.
Time per Game:
It doesn’t help you if you have a 62% Winrate if you need 30 minutes per game. You will learn how important this factor is.
To create this article, we used the stats provided by primedope. They made a calculator that you can use to see how many games you need to hit Legend. It creates a graphic for it, and include other stats like a calculation of how probable it is to lose your next x games.
The Ranked Overhaul
With the start of the April 2020 Ranked Season, Hearthstone replaced their existing ladder in Ranked Mode with a new league system. The new system features five leagues to conquer — Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond — each of 10 ranks. Players start each season at Bronze 10 and climb their way to Bronze 1 before graduating to the Silver league, and on through Gold, Platinum, and Diamond before hitting Legend. Each league will also have rank floors at ten and five, where you cannot go down in rank for losing a match. The New Player ranks will have their league that runs from ranks 40–1. The Legend ranks will continue to work as they currently do.
» Star Bonus
To go from one rank to the next, you will need to gain three Stars. You’ll obtain one Star for each match you win and lose a Star for a lost match. At the start of each season, players will earn a Star Bonus based on their past performance. This Star Bonus acts as a multiplier on the Stars you receive from each win.
For example, if you have a Star Bonus of 5x and you win a game, you’ll get five stars instead of one. If your winning game is a part of a winning streak, you’ll get double that: 10 Stars! Upon hitting each ranked floor in your climb, your Star Bonus will be reduced by one. While playing with a Star Bonus, you match by your matchmaking rating (MMR). This means you’ll be matched even more precisely with players of your similar skill level when climbing!
» New Ranked Rewards
The Hearthstone Team reworked the rewards you earn at the end of each season of Ranked play. Your reward chest can now contain card packs from the latest expansion, Rare cards, and even an Epic card, based on the rank you achieve. Five wins at any rank will also award the seasonal card back immediately, instead of at the end of the season.
There are also brand-new first-time rewards. These one-time rewards of Classic card packs, Rare cards, and Epic cards will be granted immediately upon hitting a ranked floor for the first time on your account. Hitting Legend for the first time in the new ranked system will award a random Classic Legendary card!
