[Theorycraft] Reno Dragon Quest Mage – Alphacord
Alphacord Discord: Reno Quest Mage is the best “control” deck in the metagame due to the fact it can use Time Warp as its win condition, often paired with Vargoth to take a whopping three turns. The deck is able to use many minions that add spells to your hand to help you complete your quest while not losing too much tempo. This version of RQM utilizes the dragon package to use cards like Malygos, Aspect of Magic, among others. The deck has access to the powerful payoff cards found in highlander decks such as both Renos, Kazakus, Zephrys the Great, and Dragonqueen Alexstrasza. Once the deck completes the quest it can kill the opponent with zero mana 8/8s, either Alex, or sometimes wacky Zephrys lethals. The deck can be challenging to pilot at times but is so rewarding when done right. Evocation is a card from AoO that can be tested in RQM due to the fact it’s minion heavy deck and can sometimes miss on its ability to complete the quest. Evocation has the ability to help with that in the mid to late game.
