[Theorycraft] Odd Warrior – Alphacord
Alphacord Discord: Odd Warrior is the king of feeding on aggro decks with its many board clears and ability to gain massive amounts of armor. Where the deck suffers is its inability to finish the game out against control and combo decks. Other control decks often have win conditions that basically say “win the game” and Odd Warrior can struggle finding ways to disrupt combo decks. The deck does have Brann Bronzebeard plus Coldlight Oracle to try to burn critical combo pieces in certain matchups or use Azalina to steal their opponents wincon, but it isn’t guaranteed to win them the game. The deck is still very good at beating aggro and can often fatigue the other weaker fatigue control decks. The Dr. Boom, Mad Genius unnerf was good for the deck, however it is not impactful enough to bring the deck to the forefront. New cards like Bladestorm, and even Bulwark of Azzinoth, are worth testing but likely won’t change Odd Warrior’s place in the meta.
